One Billion Foot in Camp 2017 (video)

The Billion One Foot Campaign, on February 14, 2017, on the capital’s square, looked full of colors, a festive atmosphere, music, dancing and above all with a lot of awareness messages.

The Center for Art and Community – Artpolis in cooperation with the following organizations was hosted: Cel Kosovo, Kosovo Women’s Network, Kosovar Youth Council – KYC (Kosovo Youth Council), PEN-Peer Educators Network, Kosovo Center for Studies Gender Equality and the Youth Initiative for Human Rights – Kosovo (YIHR KS), who together managed to express their revolt to condemn women’s exploitation.

The overtaking march brought together women and men of all ages, making the square echo from the brothels: “LOOK! REBELOHU! JOIN US! – against the exploitation of women! “. At the same time, the marchers held banners with the inscriptions “Get up, Rebel, Join”, “Do not abuse me”, “Stop sexist language,” “My body is right,” “My body is not for sale,” “Women should enjoy working rights “etc.

In support of the campaign came the famous singer Eliza Hoxha who brought a very special atomosphere singing inspirational songs.

Likewise, activists and volunteers combined the One Billion Rising global choreography by making Zahir Pajaziti’s amphitheater irresistible to passers-by, dancing brings together all who condemn women’s exploitation.
